RSPB Bird viewing structure

15203152_1199031650181022_1855578750448687916_nNearly there – what you see here is the beautiful design of Andy Siddall of Civic Architects with whom I’m currently collaborating to create a bird viewing structure for the RSPB on the Upper Forth, near Alloa.

My 12 papercut designs have been transformed into lasercut steel panels and integrated into the structure, arranged as a calendar and featuring the bird species of birds to be found in the wetlands throughout the year. The designs also include a skyline showing bits of the cultural landscape surrounding the Black Devon Wetlands.

I love how the view out of the structure frames the landscape; can you spot Clackmannan Tower?
