‘Rose Street Project’ is an artist-led project bringing a curated collection of window displays to Edinburgh’s famous Rose Street. I was asked to contribute by creating a window display for Wolfits Sandwich and Salad Bar. My response was to make an A1 sized paper cut repeat pattern for each of the shop’s three windows, featuring a series of craft activities associated with the winter season. After about 45 hours of solid cutting I’ve come to realize that craft activities are not only beautiful but can also be rather painful!
